Reading and Writing Decimals. Transformations

1. The decimal point splits whole and fractional parts. Trailing zeros after the point change nothing: 0.07 = 0.070. Compare place by place from the left — length decides nothing.
2. Which is bigger: 0.7 or 0.69? Compare by places from the left: 7 tenths > 6 tenths. Longer ≠ bigger.
3. Does 0.07 change if you append zeros: 0.0700? Zeros on the right after the point add nothing: 0.07 = 0.0700.
4. How many tenths are in 7.3? Tenths = the entire number read in tenths: 7.3 = 73 tenths.
